Experiences children remember
Field Trips
Throughout the school year, we plan a variety of field trips and community experiences for our children, including apple picking at local farms, picnics in neighbourhood parks, library visits, indoor playgrounds, science and conservation centres, and much more.
These experiences extend learning beyond the classroom, allowing children to explore the world together while practising independence, good habits, grace and courtesy, and social skills. Most importantly, they create meaningful learning experiences and wonderful memories together.
Special Guests and Programs
In addition to field trips, we also invite special guests and programs to our school throughout the year. These may include visits from local police officers and firefighters, animal programs, bubble or foam parties, puppet shows, special book readings, and more.
These experiences bring new ideas and exciting discoveries into the classroom, allowing children to explore the world from a familiar and comfortable environment, especially when off-site trips may not be practical.
School Events
During the school year, we bring our community together through special events such as our Christmas Concert, Spring Concert, Family Movie Night, Curriculum Night, and Year-End Party, etc. These occasions give children opportunities to showcase their talents and celebrate the hard work, enthusiasm, and confidence they develop through practice and preparation.
These events are also wonderful opportunities for families to connect and build a sense of community. Parents can meet one another, share their experiences, celebrate their children’s milestones, and enjoy being part of their children’s journey at Main Street Montessori.
